The Christmas season coming fast. It’s a busy time of year for us all. So how can we stay on track with health and fitness over this holiday season? Here are some tips:
1. Never go out to an event hungry. Have a healthy snack before hand with a large glass of water to combat the urge to over indulge.
2. Keep your portions in mind when filling your plate! Use your hand as a tool to determine how much you should put on your plate.
3. Exercise. We tend to be less active this time of year as our schedules fill up and the weather doesn’t cooperate for outdoor activity. Join a gym, hire an online trainer, do some bodyweight exercises on commercials or maybe brave the weather and go for a walk! All of these will help boost your holiday mood as well as combat the extra calories you intake.
